    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

McMinnville – Entrepreneurship is alive and well in the Upper Cumberland!

The Biz Foundry has partnered with the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce to offer CO.STARTERS, a nationally acclaimed business model development program aimed to assist entrepreneurs in the Upper Cumberland. This program will assist individuals with starting a business or help smaller businesses expand.

The program takes lessons learned from working with thousands of entrepreneurs and combines that knowledge with industry-changing startup methods drawn from the research and experience of forward-thinking entrepreneurs and business thought leaders across the country. The program helps each entrepreneur work through the process based on input from hundreds of successful entrepreneurs.
Small businesses remain one of the fundamental economic drivers for local economies and job creation, Biz Foundry officials stated, but these smaller-scale startups have not received the same level of support as their high-growth counterparts. CO.STARTERS aims to narrow that gap and increase the chances of business success.

The program lasts nine weeks, convening one evening a week for three hours. Course facilitators are seasoned entrepreneurs who are well connected in the business community. Throughout this business model discovery process, participants identify and test business assumptions through customer interactions, develop a functioning business model, learn valuable management and marketing skills, and receive constructive feedback from advisors, peers, and experienced entrepreneurs. At the end, each participant will have the tools, framework and momentum needed to make take their business idea to the next level. The process is not a lecture, it is a real time, hands-on experience in understanding your customers, the market, and the things that have to be done in order to be successful.
Bring your idea or your existing small business and learn to apply these methods to increase your chance of business success.
The nine-week CO.STARTERS course will kick off in April at the Chamber of Commerce Community Room on the Square. The cost is $150 and payment arrangements can be made.

The program begins Thursday, April 23 at 5:30 pm and runs for nine weeks.
