Event Description Smokin' in McMinnville is a 2-day KCBS-Sanctioned cook-off featuring 40 Professional Kansas City Barbeque Society teams along with backyard grill masters vying for $12,000 in total prize money in this Tennessee State Championship Competition. FREE Admission.

This is a competition. Local health regulations prohibit teams from serving barbecue to the general public. There are barbecue and other food vendors that can sell to the public.

There is an event for our visitors that will offer you a chance to experience Smokin' in McMinnville as a team or judge would: Friday night "Best of Butts" allows you to taste and judge championship barbecue. During this event you will receive samples of barbecue and traditional sides then you judge your favorites from these samples. Wristbands for meat tasting are $5.00.
