Events Calendar

This is a 3 day camp for children ages 7-11 years old. Drop-off time will be 8:30am at the Area 2 pavilion and pick-up will be at 12:30. Topics will introduce children to the rewards of being outside and roles of being a Park Ranger.  This could include: Outdoor Safety, Astronomy, Reptiles and Amphibians, Aquatics, Map and Compass Navigation, Birds of Prey, Insects and Spiders, Primitive Weapons, Track Making and Identification, Outdoor Skills, Ecology, Canoeing, Hiking and much more. Each day will consist of programs to help children build a better relationship with the great outdoors and have fun while learning.

Camps are a first come first serve basis and limited to the first 20 campers who are pre-registered by submitting all their paperwork to Rock Island State Park Office in person.
